Ed Pahnke

A graduate of Morton College in 1960, Ed Pahnke has since completed a wide array of courses and seminars. He entered banking in 1961 and has been auditor at three banks over the years.

His first short story appeared in “Et Al” in 1971, and he subsequently had a number of short stories and articles published. In addition, he writes and edits a bimonthly newsletter.

Three years ago he published Northern Knights, a mystery novel set in Wisconsin’s North Woods in the 1930’s and based upon the Robin Hood legends.

Currently, Calderwood Books in process of publishing The Charlie Chief Shaggy-dog Mysteries. The fifteen stories in the book are a result of Pahnke’s love for mysteries and shaggy-dog humor.

Pahnke fully expects to keep writing fiction and nonfiction until ginkgo biloba is no longer effective, at which time he’ll run for public office.
